Abstract
A combined performance and reliability/availability model for channel allocation is introduced. Stochastic reward nets (SRNs) models are presented for this purpose as Markov reward models, which are obtained by associating reward rates with Markov chain´s state. To solve both non-exponential and state largeness problems, advanced modeling techniques such as phase approximation approach, hierarchical modeling and fixed point iteration techniques are described
