Abstract
This paper presents a gradient based constrained optimization method for compensation design of power converters. A case study of peak current mode buck converter is used to compare the results with traditional methods. The proposed method includes the error-amplifier non-idealities during the design process, thus the obtained control parameters achieve performance close to the desired specifications. The results are validated through SIMPLIS simulations and experimental data.
