Abstract
We present a new coding algorithm that can reduce temporal bit transition activities for a LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) driving system. The proposed algorithm is a non-redundant coding scheme and can be easily implemented with simple XOR gates. We have simulated the proposed algorithm and compared the results of the proposed algorithm with those of other coding algorithms. The proposed algorithm can minimize the switching activity by max. 65% for pure text image
