Abstract :
Being lack of the evaluation indexes system and evaluating method of domestic normal transit system´s barrier-free service quality, there are not enough scientific principles for barrier-free planning, design, management and supervising of normal urban public transportation system. So, in this paper, an initial new evaluation indexes system of that mentioned above is set up, also, the definition and measure methods of this indexes system are discussed, the whole indexes system is composed of covering indexes, convenience indexes, speeding indexes, economy indexes and safety indexes. All indexes are on the basis of corresponding handicapped people´s travel demand analysis and each index indicates and describes corresponding barrier between the handicapped and normal transit system. The purpose of this work is to afford some references in making decision of sort and priority of construction project of barrier-free public transportation in order to maximize the effectiveness of limited resource.
