Abstract :
Small Infocom firms often show fast international growth. However, there are also differences in attitudes, speed and scope of internationalization within the industry and these can partly be attributed to differences in knowledge related variables like level of knowledge, its tacitness and path dependency. Results from the authors´ survey of 171 Finnish SMEs show that product or service type may act as a moderator in the relationship between the knowledge variables and internationalization
