Abstract

The paper presents the index system guiding the research on the characteristics of Chinese large and medium size industrial enterprises based on the in-depth study of their present situations. With the assistance of the SPSS software, the paper further studies on the level of scientific and technological progress and regional innovation capacity of some large and medium-size enterprises in 30 different regions in China on the basis of the principal component analysis and cluster analysis to identify the relation between knowledge characteristics, regional scientific and technological progress and innovation capacity.
