  • Abstract
HALT is a powerful tool to acquire the high reliable products. Pre-HALT analysis with FMEA or FTA can effectively avoid paying excessive attentions to non-relevant failures in HALT. We can use reliability prediction to get expectations of which components is prone to failure under certain stress condition for complex structure, immature techniques, and high temperature sensitivity. This can help to provide the test plan. Because of these problems, such as the small-sample and variable acceleration factor in HALT, it is hard to get reliability estimations with poor confidence bounds around the numbers in the form of Mean Time Between Failure(MTBF). However it can be achieved by combining HALT data with ALT data and field data.
