Abstract :
This paper presents the pollution levels obtained, applying the equivalent salt deposit density (ESDD) methodology in nine distribution circuits and five substations belonging to ELECTRlCARIBE S.A. E.S.P., located in the north area of Barranquilla, the main Atlantic Ocean port in Colombia. The paper shows the different study stages such as the sample points selection and configuration, the ESDD measurement procedures and the evaluation results applying statistical techniques. The results show that the ESDD values are related with precipitation and that the highest pollution rate corresponds to dry months
