Abstract :
The basic ideas about the development and application of a new type single wheel ABS (antilock brake system) test bench were presented. Without any unfavorable affection to the original brake dynamometer, a roller and a transmission set were added and modified to meet ABS testing requirements. The system was used to test the antilock braking system for a single wheel with data acquisition, results analysis. The control method and parameter can be easily changed or adjusted to try different settings; therefore it can assist ABS development process.
