  • Abstract
    A new floating car data technology in Hefei has been developed that provides real-time traffic information within Hefei´s two ring road. It is based on the collection of localisation data, speed, direction of travel and time information from GPS in vehicles that are being driven. The scope of the project is to development and creation of a Web-based data mart for the collection of FCD. The aim of this traffic management is to improve traffic flows by promoting more efficient use of the capacity of existing road infrastructure and transportation networks. For high quality traffic and safety information services, floating car data are essential to generate content. This system coverage is up to 80% and the accuracy of the information can reach more than 85%.
