  • Abstract
Summary form only given. Streaming dust acoustic instabilities in the presence of a beam in, weakly non-ideal dusty plasma have been studied considering Van der Waals equation of state. Fluctuating charging effects are considered in this work. In this homogeneous case dust-acoustic waves (DAWs) are studied for a perturbing plasma in very low frequency regime, where dusty plasmas support new kind of waves and instabilities due to the dust collective dynamics. In this analysis a kinetic-fluid model is used and electrons and ions are determined by their Boltzman factors. The dispersion relation found in this paper is 1+k/sub D//sup 2//k/sup 2/ - (w/sub d//sup 0/)/sup 2//w/sub 2/-/spl alpha//sub d//sup 0/k/sup 2/ (w/sub b//sup 0/)/sup 2//(w-k/spl nu//sub b//sup 0/)/sup 2/-/spl alpha//sub b//sup 0/k/sup 2/=0, where /spl alpha//sub d//sup 0/ and /spl alpha//sub b//sup 0/ are involved constant depending on the plasma parameters and Van der Walls constants. The onset of the instabilities and also the growth rates are studied in function of relevant parameters of the plasma as dust frequencies and dust concentration. In our analysis the instability region for non-ideal plasma are compared with that of ideal plasma, that is, when the ideal plasma equation is used.
