Abstract
Aiming at the weakness of currently ship-hull status monitoring, such as poor integration capacity, relatively closed system, limited coverage and so on, this paper designs a intelligent monitoring system for ship-hull status(IMSSS for short) based on CAN bus, and describes in detail the system framework and its hardware and software design. Taking the Philips ARM microprocessor as the core, the system forms a variety of sensors and equipments into a network based on CAN bus technology. The system can implement intelligent integration of the detection on status information such as temperature and humidity of cargo hold, water or oil tank level, ballast tank level, ship draft, hull structure shape, and the control on some equipments such as oil pumps, water pumps, ventilators, dehumidifiers, etc. This work promotes ship-hull status monitoring toward the direction of digitization, networking and intelligence, and has a broad market prospect.
