Abstract

The Product Assurance and Safety Department of the European Space Agency ESA is part of the Directorate of Technical and Quality Management. The Quality Dependability and Product Assurance Support Division and the Independent Safety Office deal with safety and dependability. Among the recent safety and dependability study initiatives is the development of a catalogue of failure event input data and of the associated safety & dependability analysis elements - denoted "CFDA".
