Abstract :
Wavelet analysis was performed to obtain time-frequency representations of otoacoustic emissions (OAEs) from normal ears. Otoacoustic emissions evoked by click stimuli at 8 different intensity levels were recorded from healthy subjects and used as test material. Time-frequency representations were used to analyse the relationships between frequency components and latencies. To test whether click-evoked OAEs can be used to derive reliable estimates of cochlear latencies, the authors´ latency results were compared with data from ABR
