Abstract :
Frame tunnel bridges are commonly selected when overhead crossing bridges at intersection of railway and highway are built. In these situations jacking construction method is frequently used for the frame tunnel bridge. During construction of tunnel bridges there are some important safety risks. Field monitoring of a frame tunnel bridge, Dengzhuang Bridge, during jacking construction is presented in this paper. The maximum tensile strain is 91 muepsiv which is smaller than the ultimate tensile strain of concrete. The monitored bridge did not crack during jacking stage. The research results of this paper provide helpful reference for the design, construction and crack prevention of frame tunnel bridges.
