Abstract
In vision based applications, the process and measurement functions are not necessarily linear and the process noise and measurement noise are not Gaussian. Particle filters have better performance than the other common tracking filters in such cases. But the first problem is developing the basic particle filter to handle the multitarget tracking case. In this paper, we proposed the JPDAF algorithm in conjunction with a basic particle filter. Finally, we introduced some proposed observation models and related dynamics used in different applications and express some difficulties of the extension of these methods to new applications. The attempt to implement different approaches for a unique application which will help us to compare the abilities of these different approaches will be our future work.
