Abstract :
This paper describes how Quality of Service (QoS) support can be introduced to Overlay Multicast in a Chord Peer-to-Peer network. We support the concept of QoS classes (to support various hop-by-hop QoS parameters such as bandwidth requirements) as well as node to root Round Trip Time (RTT) constraints. Our evaluations show that we can guarantee QoS without changing the basic properties of Chord significantly.
