  • Abstract
    This paper presents a new method, called ldquostate-partrdquo method, to establish the reliability model of the Full Authority Electronic Control system (FADEC) aiming to control the aircraft engine. Using this method, the system reliability, as well as the part reliability, can be calculated. The key parts which decide the system reliability can be determined. On the basis of above calculation, the reliability of simple FADEC, FADEC with software redundancy, FADEC with both software redundancy and mechano-hydraulic redundancy and the mechano-hydraulic controller is analyzed and compared. Finally some corresponding conclusions are drawn to improve the reliability of the FADEC system.
