Abstract :
Process planning, within it planning of the workpiece fixturing is a complicated and time-consuming task. Because of it process engineers prefer to use computers to speed up the solving of frequently emerging tasks. In this paper a program is presented that bridges the gap between the CAD model and the setup and fixture planner, to make the planning of workpiece fastening in case of box-shaped parts easier and faster.
