Abstract :
When the predictive maintenance of transformers is executed in a planned and systematic way, it improves the availability of equipments in the system, guaranteeing the necessary intervention in the precise moment, in the shortest period as possible, aiming to reduce the risks of a non-scheduled energy black-out in the system. That maintenance also performs an important role in the economic profitability of the electric system, since the maintenance activities are developed with the aim of improving the development of and increasing the service life of the equipments, postponing to the maximum the investments to replace them, rejecting equipments that do not compensate to be overhauled and determining those that effectively can come back to the system after an economically compensating intervention. The aim of the developed system is to evaluate the transformer from the analysis and the manipulation of a set of operational variables of the transformer
