Abstract :
In the research for high rate-high resolution spectroscopy, adaptive filters are an interesting choice. We describe adaptive filters easy to implement in digital processors. By employing these filters the maximum rate that can be achieved is increased by a factor up to 30% in comparison with digital processors which use filters of fixed shape. Furthermore, the suppression of baseline wandering is increased up to a factor 10 and the resulting spectra have the definite advantage of exhibiting Gaussian peaks.
