Abstract
In this paper different approaches to calculate uncertainties in the wideband electrical properties of planar waveguides such as coplanar waveguides (CPW) and microstrip lines (MSL) are compared against each other. The linear propagation of uncertainties (LPU) approach is demonstrated to give comparable results to the more general Monte Carlo procedure. The influence of higher order terms in the propagation of uncertainties is also investigated and found to be negligible.
