Abstract :
Pace University has created various E-Classrooms to support the curriculum. Presented are the issues involved in creating the ideal teaching classroom and the strategies for implementation including training, interactive systems, and environmental factors. Topics addressed include a variety of unique software/hardware requirements, various manufacturers´ peripherals, broadcast-on-demand system, ergonomics, environmental conditions, and their seamless integration. Other concerns examined consist of facilitation of creative teaching-learning sessions, student retention, critical thinking, and problem solving for both individual and group approaches. Moreover, the student satisfaction survey revealed the influence of the technological environment on student perceived teacher expectations, attitude toward the course content, feeling of isolation, learning pace, amount of teacher-to-student contact, anxiety/comfort level, and motivation to attend class/learn.
