Abstract
Summary form only given, as follows. The time for accreditation of programs in IS seems appropriate because of demands of industry and academe. This project is funded by NSF and has representatives appointed by the leading societies in information computing - ACM, IEEE-Computer Society, Association for Information Systems (AIS), Association for Information Technoloy Professionals (A1TP)- and the Computing Sciences Accreditation Board (CSAB). Additionally major recent curriculum efforts in this area are also represented. This session will present a first draft of criteria for accreditation. Audience discussion will be encouraged.
