Abstract :
Based on the analysis of three stages of technology-based industry cluster evolution, the paper tests the remarkable personal traits of the entrepreneurs entered in different stages, including risk-taking propensity, achievement motivation, locus of control, tolerance for ambiguity and affiliation need. The sample was from auto accessory industry cluster in ChangChun. The findings suggest that tolerance for ambiguity is a significant character of entrepreneurs who enter in the first and second stage, affiliation need is the character for the third stage, and achievement motivation is for all the process of the evolution of technology-based industry clusters
