Abstract :
To solve the problem of photovoltaic street light applying,by researching the charging-recharging strategy of battery and the conversion efficiency of photovoltaic(PV) cell, the implementation method of solar street light control system is presented. Three-stage battery charge strategy and variable step size MPPT algorithm are put forward.A single chip processor controls duty-cycle of the buck DC/DC converter to achieve maximum power point tracking.Results of the experiment indicated, the proposed MPPT controller can track external conditions change fastly and accurately,the battery charge efficiency is quite high,and the system is running steadily.
