Abstract
Summary form only given. An efficient, flashlamp-pumped, room temperature, 0.946-/spl mu/m Nd:YAG laser was Q-switched using an acousto-optic modulator and frequency-doubled in a tandem set of BaB/sub 2/O/sub 4/ crystals to produce 3.5 mJ.
