Abstract
Various parameters of the model are set based on the minimal vertical safety distance model on highway. Where the range of driver reaction time is large. The impact of the driver reaction time on the safety distance is analyzed. The driver reaction time is affected by driving experience, adaptability, sex, psychological and physical conditions and other factors. In the scope of driver reaction time allowance, the driver reaction time is determined based on the theory of fuzzy mathematics considering various main factors. The application of the method is illustrated through specific examples. The result shows that the method has practical value and can improve the accuracy of the model effectively.
