Abstract
Demonstrates the use of the differential extinction technique with two attenuating radar wavelengths to determine microphysical properties of liquid clouds. High resolution Ka-band (33 GHz) and W-band (95 GHz) liquid cloud measurements collected with the University of Massachusetts Cloud Profiling Radar System (CPRS) are presented from the Mt. Washington Icing Sensors Program (MWISP). Insect contamination is not an issue for these measurements because of the low ambient temperature
