Abstract
Quality of Service (QoS) is a mobile network challenge. An efficient Call Admission Control (CAC) is the first step towards QoS guaranty. Some CACs use resource reservation and network diagnosis to ensure QoS. The CAC may block lower-priority applications using static thresholds when the network utilization is high. Such static strategy does not allow the maximum utilization of the network resources under certain traffic conditions. This paper proposes CAC-RDF, a dynamic call blocking scheme has been developed. Fuzzy logic has been chosen to deal with the network congestion level. CAC-RDF improves the network resources distribution while ensuring adequate QoS.
