Abstract
In this paper, the concept of multiplicative multiresolution decomposition with perfect reconstruction is introduced. This kind of analysis/synthesis representation is suitable for signals corrupted by multiplicative noise (e.g. phase jitters noisy signals, synthetic aperture radar (SAR) images). The design and the implementation of a nonlinear multiplicative filter bank are addressed. In this first contribution, the proposed representation is dedicated to one-dimensional signals.
