Abstract :
A power-compensated, bidirectional reconfigurable optical add/drop multiplexer is proposed. The system performance is built on a bidirectional 4 x 2.5 Gb/s 50 km transmission with only 0.2 dB of power penalty compared to unidirectional transmission.
