Abstract :
Planar shape description became an important procedure in automated microscopy, biomedical database searching etc. We propose a shape description method based on wavelet packets applied on parameterized object contour. This method allows the multiscale description and automated features selection for various applications. The proposed method was used for shape similarity evaluation for neurotoxicity testing.
