Abstract :
In this paper a numerical model for the simulation of the performances of HV reference dividers is presented; the model, based on a numerical procedure coupling electric field analysis and electrical circuit, is applied to the analysis of the 200 kV lightning impulse reference divider of the Istituto Elettrotecnico Nazionale “Galileo Ferraris” in Italy. The use of the numerical model will allow an improvement of the divider features by changing the geometrical characteristics
