Abstract :
This paper describes a fourth order switched-current ΣΔ modulator for baseband channel applications. It is implemented in a standard 3.3 V 0.8 μm CMOS technology. The die area is 4 mm2 and the overall power consumption is less than 75 mW when oversampling 16× an input signal of 600 kHz to achieve 8-bit resolution. The modulator is used as a test vehicle for the integration of the baseband interface for multi-mode RF transceivers in a low cost digital technology using current-mode techniques
