Abstract
Our study proves that F-doped fibers have almost the same Brillouin gain-coefficient as that of GeO2-doped fibers. The sensitivity of acoustic resonance frequency on strain/temperature shows a dependence on fluorine-concentration opposite to that on germanium-concentration.
