Abstract :
This paper presents the particle trajectories in an isolated gas insulated line in SF6-N2 gas mixture environment under the influence of power frequency and switching transient voltage. Copper is considered as wire type conducting particle floating in a GIL of 0.1 mm radius and 10 mm of length. The results are shown for movement of particle in different concentration of SF6-N2 gas mixture.
