  • Abstract
General assumptions, initial equations and thermal models of a short arc between high-current contacts are described in the paper. Mathematical analysis and computer simulation have been carried out for selected practical examples of biased contacts. It has been proved that thermal power received by the anode is greater than that received by the cathode
