Abstract
FPGAs have changed the way we collect data and implement control systems. With the processing power they contain, we can easily turn data into information by performing in-line processing at very high acquisition rates. This allows engineers and scientists to test and develop very fast control algoritm loop rates. Join us for this presentation that looks at the applications where FPGAs are getting widespread use in the transportation industry. These applications range from complex control systems, sensor simulation, and hardware in the loop simulation systems. Also, we´ll look into the future of the FPGA and see where it is taking data acquisition and control system development. Finally, we´ll look at some of the more recent tools that enable engineers and scientists to take advantage of this technology with minimal training.
