Abstract :
A low-power-consumption wavelength-tunable DFB laser based on a heater-loaded wide-temperature-range DFB structure has been demonstrated. A continuous wavelength tuning range of more than 5 nm with a stable single longitudinal mode was attained under a low electric power of 400 mW.
