Abstract
Field emission display (FED) is a promising candidate for next generation flat panel display due to its advantages of fast response, high brightness, high contrast and low power consumption. Dielectric spacers are key components in a FED device, which support and insulate cathode and anode substrates. In this study the effects of spacer charging on the display image was studied in a FED with high anode voltage. The image distortion under different cathode currents and anode voltages are measured under video driving mode.
