Abstract :
From the point view of the control of practical systems, the concepts of satisfactory control, estimation and modeling reduction, and its expected performance index set and equivalent performance index set are introduced in detail. Then a brief review of research achievements in this new area is given. Finally the problems for further consideration in satisfactory control and estimation are proposed
