Abstract :
A modulator-integrated DFB-laser transmitter module with a driver IC and a planar superlattice-APD receiver module with a preamplifier IC were developed for 10-Gbps optical transmission systems. High-speed modulation and high receiver sensitivity were successfully demonstrated by these modules.
