Abstract :
An EEG and EMG biofeedback system for treating hyperactive children who suffer from attention deficit and learning disabilities is described. The system can work in a stand-alone mode or with an IBM personal computer. In the first case, the signals which vary with the patient´s brain and muscle activity level are fed back to the patient online. This can be used for clinical applications. In the second case, the EEG-EMG feedback signals are collected by an IBM PC and then processed with sophisticated digital signal-processing techniques. The latter mode provides an efficient and flexible approach to the analysis and feedback of EEG and EMG signals.<>
