Abstract :
Monolithic power conversion is one of the key enabling technologies for future wireless applications, which require high level of integration, low cost, and long battery life. This paper reports the results of a monolithic distributed power supply, which consists of a single stage and two-stage interleaved zero-voltage switching (ZVS) synchronous buck converters. By evolving to higher switching frequencies, the values of inductors and capacitors are reduced to values suitable for integration. A 0.18 μm SiGe RF BiCMOS process technology with high quality integrated passive devices is used for fabrication.
