Abstract :
A high performance motor control system should exhibit good speed tracking and disturbance rejection even under unstructured uncertainty. Usually a lower order and simple controller for IFOC IM exhibits satisfactory nominal tracking performance, but may not provide the required robustness against unstructured uncertainty. A robust compensator can be plugged into the system along with the existing controller and it introduces additional robustness against unstructured uncertainty. In this paper the design of the two degree of freedom controller is proposed. The conventional controller and the two-degree of freedom controller for the IFOC IM drive system have been designed and validated through MATLAB simulation.
