Abstract :
The necessity and feasibility of combining the neural network (NN) with genetic algorithms (GAs) are first discussed, and the notion of using the three-layer feedforward NN as the representation method of genetic and the search technique is then introduced. Finally, the combination of GAs and NN was used to estimate the cost for equipment ordering. The results obtained show that the genetic and backpropagation algorithms improved the capability of fast learning NN and avoided the local minimum numerical value
