Abstract :
Advanced miniaturization technologies enable realization of satellites at small masses, enabling in-orbit placement of distributed satellite systems at limited costs. Thus, despite limited capacities of each satellite, data integration provides interesting outputs from the system. Advantages of a distributed satellite system include higher temporal and spatial resolution of the observations, as well as graceful degradation properties in case of failures.
