  • Abstract
    In the linear vector space (Hilbert space), at least one vector group can be formed as a new base axis among any independent group of vectors for orthogonal separation by evaluating their least square variance. The goal achieved by the target-vector projection transformation method is setting new coordinate in the vector space of the data from which a small area of the target lithology is selected in the composite. With the new coordinate, the projection transformation is performed on the original TM data. In this way the similar information is transformed and accumulated in the vector space of the new coordinate
