  • Abstract
    Empirical equations were derived for the self and mutual capacitance and inductance of coupled microstrip lines in an inhomogeneous medium with one side exposed to air. The validity of the derived equations was verified by comparison of the equations with the measured electrical parameters and crosstalk on two different kinds of printed circuit board. The derived equations were applied to estimate crosstalk noise and to establish the design guidelines on the spacing between coupled microstrip lines
